GUIDING PRINCIPLES Parents should be the primary sex educators of their children. Comprehensive, abstinence-first, health and sexuality education, as defined by the South Carolina Health Education Act, is an important component of a comprehensive community approach to reducing teen pregnancy. Using “best practice”, research-proven, interventions and curricula is the most effective way to accomplish our mission. |
